News update

For those of you still following this blog, you might have noticed that things have been a little mellow here as of late. But there has been quite a bit of action going on now, and I figured now would be as good a time as any to share the news.
  • Earlier today I sent an email to Buzz Potamkin. For those of you who don't know, Buzz Potamkin was the executive producer of SWAT Kats and had in fact tried to rescue the show when it was being considered for cancellation. This marks the first concrete step to get help from outside of the SWAT Kats Internet fandom. While it's unlikely he'll become the executive producer again, he might be able to give us some sense of what to do for revival. I and others eagerly await a response from him.
  • On the software front, the developers of VideoLAN Movie Creator, a video editing application, will soon be coming out with a new pre-alpha build of their app for Windows. Unfortunately the program currently has a lot of bugs to go through. The reason I'm talking about this is to think about options in the case that money becomes an issue on the revival project. Since VLMC is free software, it could provide a good back up in that kind of scenario.
  • Speaking of money, I've been thinking about using Google Adsense to place ads on this blog. The purpose of this is not to annoy anybody, but to provide a preliminary cash flow for the project. Once some money is scrounged up, studio execs might decide to fund the show further.
That's it for now, I'll update when something interesting happens.
